I just can't see how separation would improve Quebec's economic situation. Or improve opportunities. It would be a foolish move.

Reading this, my first thought was "compared to what?". So my little minion, LLM, was asked the question of what was the level of support by decade for this cohort (18-29) starting in the 70s.

1970s ~30-40%

1980s ~45-55%

1990s ~65-75%

2000s ~55-65%

2010s ~40-50%

2020s this poll ~32%

If I could graph this, it's a bell curve, with the peak of the 1995 referendum.

I think it's clear, independence and referenda have run their course for a while. Brexit hurt the brand kinda like Hitler did for that moustache. Hard to make a comeback when people are wary of the very process, as well of the outcome.
